A mother puts her young child under the feet of a traditional healer — a devotee of the Hindu God Shiva & to be healed, following a high fever and a diagnosis of pneumonia in a local health center. Some tribal people believe in this century-old practice. The child was so terrified of the ceremony that he tore at his mother’s sari, begging to be freed.
